Ready for some homemade goodness!?
Joy of Desserts and 3 Sides of Crazy are hosting a Bread meme.
All sorts of breads: quick breads, savory breads, sweet ones, yeast breads, no-knead breads, 5-minute breads, vintage or gluten-free breads, etc, etc, etc!
So this is my bread offering!!
1927 Peanut Butter Bread
2c flour
4t baking powder
1t salt
1/3 c sugar
1/2c peanut butter
1 1/2c milk
* Sift first 4 ingredients together, and then add peanut butt.
Beat the mixture well.
Now add milk; beat well.
Pour batter into a well-greased bread tin and bake at 350* for 1 hour.
This recipe will make one large loaf or two small ones.
Anything with peanut butter is a winner in my opinion. Any idea how it got it’s name? Thanks for spreading the word about the round up!:)
Wow! That sounds so good. I think it would be delicious with some chocolate chips thrown in, too. There is nothing better than chocolate and peanut butter together!
I’m adding this to the list of things to try.
I love peanut butter and in a bread this sounds GREAT!!!

That’s a nice recipe, and it’s a vintage one, too. You should link it to Vintage Recipe Thursday. Seems quite easy, and tasty. Thank you for participating in the bread roundup.
